Peace Aging Care Proud to Sponsor Nursing Scholarship

Mt. Olive, NJ. Trish Colucci, RN-BC, CCM Nursing Class of ’85, Founder and President of Mt. Olive-based Peace Aging Care Experts, LLC^®, a geriatric care management practice, has established a scholarship for nursing students in the professional phase of their program.

“Upon graduating from the nursing program at County College of Morris, I was well prepared to take advantage of every professional opportunity that came my way – and believe me, I did!” shared Colucci recently as she reflected on the various nursing positions she’s held during her 32-year career. “However, 11 years ago I turned my focus toward working with seniors and their families and discovered a population in great need of caring and dedicated elder care professionals. My objective is to use the scholarship to introduce the field of geriatric care management to a new generation of nurses and to encourage them to pursue a career working with New Jersey’s aging population.”

“We are very thankful to Trish Colucci ’85 and Peace Aging Care Experts, LLC^®,” said CCM Foundation President Joseph Vitale. “This is a wonderful gesture from an alumna and shows her commitment to the excellence of our nurses and their service to the elder care population.”

Skillful and compassionate care of the elderly has defined Peace Aging Care Experts, LLC^® since its inception in 2006. Care management services are customized to each client’s specific needs and are centered on improving the individual’s overall health and quality of life. Services include creating a plan of care for current and future needs, scheduling and attending  medical  appointments  and  weekly medication preparation, and ongoing attention to a client’s medical, emotional and social needs. Trish Colucci is available to consult with family members on the benefits of home care vs facility care, the challenges associated with caring for aging loved ones with dementia or Alzheimer’s, and ensuring that individuals who suffer from mental illness are receiving the appropriate blend of ongoing care services and benefits to meet their needs.

County College of Morris nursing students who wish to apply for the Peace Aging Care Experts, LLC^® Small Business Scholarship should visit the school’s scholarship website prior to May 31st to apply for the upcoming fall semester.
