Jackie Berman, MS OTR/L

Geriatric Care Manager

While my chosen career path is dedicated to helping others, my personal experiences with aging grandparents impressed upon me the profound importance of strong advocacy and a deep understanding of the healthcare system. I saw it as my personal responsibility to help guide my family through myriad issues to ensure the most favorable outcomes — just as Peace Aging Care does each and every day for our clients.

In my career, I have had the opportunity to assist people of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric. Whether working with children in outpatient rehab, or adults in inpatient, sub-acute and skilled nursing environments, I take pleasure in working closely with my patient, their family, and their care team to meet their goals and help them transition to their next stages of care as safely and independently as possible. As an occupational therapist, I work hard to help enhance a person’s ability to participate in important daily tasks and adapt to their environment to meet current and future needs. Understanding that no two people are the same, I take tremendous satisfaction in being able to modify strategies and approaches to meet each individual’s needs.

I learned at an early age how to find ways to help people. When I was introduced to occupational therapy, I knew immediately that this career path would provide me a perfect ability to truly help people while also utilizing my creativity. I am proud to share my skill set with clients of Peace Aging Care Experts!
