Mount Olive TWP. – The elderly woman with dementia had no problems remembering her younger days when she heard the crooning of Frank Sinatra on the CD.
And there was the man, in his 80s, whose memory is failing, but who tapped his toes and sang to tunes from one of his favorite Broadway shows.
Their experiences were part of a program by three Girl Scouts from the township who were witnesses to the power and beauty of music and how it can stimulate the memories of people with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
